The Velvet Quill

Crafting stories that inspire and spark imagination worldwide.

About the Store

The Velvet Quill began as a high school dream, born from a passion for storytelling and the thrill of weaving emotions, characters, and dreams. Publishing my first YA novel, The New Yorker, marked the start of my journey, capturing the raw emotions of leaving home and starting anew. After school, I poured my heart into crafting twists, heartfelt moments, and the rush of first love, sharing my voice with readers worldwide. Writing became my escape, my passion, and a way to bring my buzzing ideas to life. I’m thrilled to share this journey with you, may you always have butterflies, dear readers!

Omar Nasr

Omar Nasr is an author and poet who utilizes the symbol of a butterfly as his very own hope and passion for the future of both his life and his country, Lebanon, and his dedication to the creation of this novel was clear with the way he always carried around a small notepad to remember all the small details and plot twists to be added, and even the digital mood boards and aesthetic pages he created! His biggest supporters would definitely be his family before anyone else, who encouraged and motivated him throughout the entirety of the process, continuously painting vibrant butterflies in his awesome journey. He continues to actively influence and inspire those around him in the community to take action and initiate plans (school events, recycling projects, writing clubs) and if he had one wish today, it would be to find people who relate to and enjoy reading his novel!
